Simon Rattle and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra present Benjamin Britten's "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" in Guide to the Orchestra, an exploratory music appreciation program for high school and college students. The CD-ROM includes a full video performance of the work, as well as interviews with members of the orchestra; pictures, text, and audio clips of each instrument in the orchestra; a brief history of the development of the symphony orchestra; and a Build the Orchestra game, in which the student attempts to put each instrument in its correct seating location.
