Designed for preschool and early elementary school children, Early Music Skills introduces music theory by presenting lines, spaces, and note movement on a staff. In the Line and Space Notes module, the student is shown a note and asked whether it lies on a line or a space. The Up and Down module shows a series of notes and asks whether they move up or down. Students interact with the program using the computer mouse. Early Music Skills keeps track of students by having them sign in with both a name and a password, a feature that may be a bit much for young children.
