Band in a Box is an example of a high school and college level practice tool, giving the student a flexible rhythm section accompaniment for many different styles of jazz, rock, and pop music. The user types a chord progression, chooses a style and a tempo, and the computer plays. Advanced options allow the user to create new musical styles, create a melody, or configure the computer to create a solo.
