Becky Waters is principal organist and composer-in-residence at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. She also teaches composition at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and maintains a private teaching studio.

Recent commissions include No More Blinded by the River for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano (premiered March 7, 2004 at UAH) and a setting of This is My Father’s World for treble choir, piano, flute (premiered May 16, 2004 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.)

Numerous concert engagements and contest winnings involving travel have kept her pre-occupied during the first half of this year. Ms. Waters plans to begin her next commission, a song cycle of Chinese poems, in September – premier date is scheduled for spring 2005.
