Margaret LeachAn active member of the Huntsville musical community for over twenty years, Margaret Leach received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She began her formal music studies at Loyola University while a resident of the metropolitan New Orleans area. Previous to her academic training, she was active in community theatre and dinner theatre in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., and continued this tradition in the performing arts in and around New Orleans.

Ms. Leach has performed as a solo artist with several musical groups in Huntsville, such as the UAH Concert Choir, Huntsville Community Chorus, the Huntsville Opera Theater, the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and has been a part of the Lindbergh Farm Series, the American Guild of Organist's Concert Series, and the Schola Cantorum Concert Series at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Huntsville.

Portraying the Queen of the Night at Loyola University’s and Huntsville Opera Theater's production of The Magic Flute are two truly treasured performing experiences for her. Other credits include: Berta in The Barber of Seville, Marcellina in Marriage of Figaro, Despina in Cosi fan Tutte, Mamma Lucia in Cavelleria Rusticana, and Marie in The Daughter of the Regiment. Other roles she has performed in Huntsville are Madame Herz in The Impresario, Carmen Ghia in P.D.Q. Bach's The Stoned Guest, and Esther in Two By Two. Early in 2007, she will be performing in UAH Professor of German, Dr. Peter Meister’s “12NP”, a musical story about Nuclear Peace.  Ms. Leach was appointed to the voice faculty in 1999.
