The Library's Instructional Role

The UAH Library provides services which promote independent inquiry, refinement of research abilities, and critical thinking skills. Reference librarians at the Salmon Library are eager to work with instructors to provide a collaborative learning experience for students.

In conjunction with the instructor, Reference librarians present classroom sessions tailored to complement specific assignments, subject areas or resources in one of the computer classrooms at Salmon Library. Most often, sessions combine demonstrations of electronic & print resources, discussions of search strategies and hands-on practice. Librarians are also available to hold a session in any lab or classroom on campus.

You must request all library instruction sessions via the Library Instruction Request Form.
