A service of the U.S. Dept. of Labor, this site connects almost 2000 state employment offices and over 200,000 job openings nationwide in a broad range of occupations from professional to clerical. The search engine is somewhat cumbersome but it's worth the time to browse here. Also has links to individual state employment agencies.

Search over 200,000 job ads placed in major newspapers across the U.S. in the last two weeks. Free but you must register to use. Remember that classified ads traditionally are not the most effective way to find job openings, nor are they usually targeted to entry-level job seekers.
