Using the Firefox Toolbar

Once the toolbar is installed, it will look like this:

  • Click on the UAH logo to see a list of UAH-related bookmarks. The library homepage, UAH webmail, WebCT, and a number of others are listed.

  • Next to the logo is a text box. Type some search terms in there, then click the 'Search' button to do a keyword search of the library catalog.

  • Or, after typing in your search terms, click the arrow next to the Search button. In the dropdown menu that appears, there's a list of a few other library databases. Click on any of them to search that resource. We currently have the catalog, Academic Search Premier, the Oxford English Dictionary, and IEEE Xplore listed. More will be added in future versions.

  • The size of the text box can be adjusted by clicking and draging the vertical bar to the right of it.

  • Lastly, type in your search terms, then click 'Web Search' to search Google.
