All materials not returned to the Circulation Staff at the Circulation Desk or placed in the book drop at or before the date due may result in fines on the patron's record. Patrons are responsible for any and all fines that accrue because of a failure to return checked out materials to the appropriate location, at the appropriate time.

The after-hours book drop is only available when the library is closed. ILL, Reserves and overdue materials should not be placed in the outside book drop. All ILL and reserve materials must be returned to the Circulation Desk when the Library is open.

The fine for an overdue book is $0.25 per book, per day. Maximum overdue fine is $25.00 per book.

The fine for overdue reserve materials is $0.25 per item, per hour - to a maximum fine of $100.00 per item.

The fine for overdue ILL materials is $1.00 per item, per day.

Overdue fines for UAH books accrue at the rate of 25 cents per item per day. After 28 days overdue, the book is declared "lost" and a fee of $65.00 is imposed, which includes a nonrefundable $15.00 processing fee. After the bill is submitted to the University s Bursar, it becomes "final" and the "Lost" item cannot be returned for adjustment of charges. Failure to pay the overdue fines/lost book fees will result in the suspension of your library privileges

WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PATRON INVOICE, ALL UNPAID ACCOUNTS FOR ILL BOOKS ARE SUBMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY'S BURSAR FOR COLLECTION.

Fines are to be paid at the Circulation Desk with either cash, check, or by UAH One Card debit card. (Due to our limited change fund, we cannot accept bills larger than $20.00.)
- It is the patron's responsibility to inform the Library in case of a change of address or the lost of an I.D. card.
