Check out this fantastic music video featuring UAH Faculty Guitarist Phil Weaver!

UAHuntsville's Classical guitar instructor Phil Weaver recently released this music video with filmmaker Jon Sawa, owner of Prototype Multimedia. In the spring of last year Phil suffered a shattered elbow, broken wrist and scapula in an accident while hiking, requiring extensive orthopedic surgery and physical therapy. This is a full-production music video with Phil, Jon, and the Prototype crew spending over forty hours on location at ten sites throughout north Alabama while he was working towards a full recovery. One scene was shot a week before his last surgery to remove hardware. This is from an email sent by William Kanengiser, professor of guitar at the University of Southern California and leader of the Grammy-award winning group the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet: “That is AWESOME!! Really amazing visuals, cool piece, and fantastic playing. I'm glad to hear how well and how fast you've recovered. That director did a wonderful job; super-high level of creativity and quality. I loved all of it, but I think my favorite shot was that extreme slo-mo of the 6th string vibrating: Wow! Great work again! Man, LAGQ needs to have something like this! Does this guy ever film in LA?”
