Academic Advising

Academic Advising is defined as a decision-making process during which students realize their maximum educational potential through communication and information exchange with an advisor. Academic advising consists of discussing options, plans, and requirements to meet academic goals.

In the College of Liberal Arts, students work with two academic advisors to develop a Program of Study (POS). The Liberal Arts advisors are Frank Bell and Amy Smeal.

The College of Liberal Arts is pleased to announce we will now also advise Undecided majors and General College students. If you are an undecided student, you can meet with our advisors to develop a plan of courses to take until you're ready to declare a major.

You can visit the Advising Office in MH 220. You can reach them by phone at 256-824-2867.

The academic advisement center in Morton Hall Room 220. We strongly recommended you make an appointment by calling (256) 824-2867.
