How can you be an EXPO supporter? Besides being an exhibitor, there are other ways you can support EXPO and be part of making positive change in the community.
Volunteer at EXPO. As a large and growing event, EXPO has many opportunities for hands-on support on the day of the fair. If you are interested in helping as an event volunteer, please contact Charity Ethridge in the Women's Studies Resource Center at 256-824-6210.
Make a financial contrbition to EXPO. EXPO is offered as a free public event open and accessible to diverse participation. Gifts from community supporters help to supplement the backing of our event sponsors to keep this a no-charge community fair. If you are interested in making a contribution, contact Erin Reid in the Women's Studies Program office at 256-824-6190 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Download a contribution form.
Donate a door prize. Giving a door prize is a great way to market and build recognition for your business on the UAHuntsville campus and in the community. We award door prizes throughout EXPO between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in drawings held four times an hour. The 2010 EXPO hosted over 80 exhibitors and an estimated 500 students and other visitors, and we expect this year's event to be even bigger.
If you donate a door prize, your donation will be recognized in these ways:
- Your company will be listed in our exhibitors' booklet distributed at EXPO.
- Your company and donation will be announced over the PA as drawings are held and door prizes distributed at EXPO.
- Your company and donation will be listed on campus promotional materials leading up to EXPO.
- Your company will be listed as a contributor to UAHuntsville in our annual report, and you will receive an official receipt for tax purposes by mail.
Be a community promoter. Get the buzz going about EXPO! Invite friends, neighbors, students, and anyone who wants to find out more about how doing what they love can change the world.
