Statistics for the Social Sciences
Kyle Knight earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in Sociology at Washington State University. He is an environmental sociologist whose research focuses on understanding the various social forces that drive environmental degradation and advances toward environmental reform and improvement. Dr. Knight uses quantitative cross-national data to investigate such issues as environmental sustainability, environmental concern, resource consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. His research has been published in a number of academic journals such as Social Science Research, Social Science Quarterly, Society and Natural Resources, Global Environmental Change, and Population and Environment. Dr. Knight teaches several courses at UAH, including Statistics for the Social Sciences, Introduction to Sociology, Environmental Sociology, and Sociology of Environmental Justice.
