Dr. Boyer received the Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Jordan College of Music at Butler University in Indianapolis. Graduate studies continued with a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C., where he was a member of the U.S. Army Chorus, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. |

Dr. Royce Boyer is responsible for initiating music activities and creating the music department on the UAH campus in 1966. He teaches in the areas of music literature and history, and private voice. He is Music Director of the Twickenham Singers of North Alabama, a vocal chamber chorale, and continues to serve the Huntsville community as a church musician.
