Video Conferencing Services

i.t.solutions and Instructional Technologies support several rooms on campus equipped with Polycom and LifeSize video conferencing units. If you would like assistance with reserving a space and setting up a video conference using these facilities, please contact the TAG Help Desk.

Web and Desktop Conferencing Services

Currently, UAHuntsville holds a license for Wimba Classroom that can be used for online desktop sharing and web conferencing. If you would like assistance using this program, please contact the TAG Help Desk.

Phone Conferencing

Phone conferencing is available via the Nortel Networks phone-set. To add people to a phone conference, dial the first person, press the CONF button, and dial another number. You can add up to 6 people in a phone conference. For assistance with phone conferencing technologies, please contact Telecommunications Services.

Intercampus Interactive Telepresence System (IITS)

IITS started as a University of Alabama initiative with a site at each of the three main campuses, but it has grown to become Alabama's interactive telepresence network. IITS makes every effort to accommodate all telepresence users, including non-network members, desktop users, and the common Internet. Additional information is available on their website.
