UAH hosts diversity seminar speaker Cheryl Dozier
Educator, researcher and social worker Cheryl Dozier will be the guest speaker for the annual UAHuntsville (UAH) Diversity Workshop.Dozier will present the workshop on Thursday, Oct. 25 during two sessions. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the second session will be from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Great Room of Frank Franz Hall. Both sessions are free and open to the public and pre-registration is requested. The UAH Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsors the diversity seminar annually. Dozier serves as the associate provost for institutional diversity at The University of Georgia (UGA). She is a tenured faculty member in the School of Social Work and an affiliate faculty member with UGA’s African Studies Institute. She has directed UGA’s study-abroad program in Ghana for five years, and also is a faculty researcher with UGA’s Foot Soldier Project for Civil Rights Studies and Research. Dozier holds a B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a master’s degree in social work from Atlanta University and a doctorate in social work from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
