Harvest Dinner preparations under way
Harvest Dinner, as most of you know, began as a way for the UAH community to provide a traditional American style Thanksgiving meal to the international students and others in our UAH community. This year Harvest Dinner will serve as the kick off to a weeklong series of activities to celebrate International Education Week.
The Harvest Dinner is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Baptist Student Center (located at the corner of Holmes Avenue and Sparkman Drive).
"Harvest Dinner continues to be more successful each year," said organizer Reva Bailey, "but only with the help of volunteers."
She encouraged members of the UAH faculty, staff, and student community to support the Harvest Dinner by volunteering to help prepare or serve the meal. In addition, Bailey said donations of door prizes, desserts, and other holiday food items are also welcome.
Volunteers will be needed starting Saturday morning through Monday from the 8 am preparation through clean-up Monday night.
