Preparations for the annual Harvest Dinner, to be held on Monday, November 12th from 4:30-7:30 pm in the Baptist Student Center (located at the corner of Holmes Avenue and Sparkman Drive), are well under way. Harvest Dinner, as most of you know, began as a way for the UAH community to provide a traditional American style Thanksgiving meal to the international students and others in our UAH community. This year Harvest Dinner will serve as the kick off to a weeklong series of activities to celebrate International Education Week. Harvest Dinner continues to be more successful each year, but only with your help! Members of the UAH faculty, staff, and student community are encouraged to support the Harvest Dinner by volunteering to help prepare or serve the meal on Monday night November 12th. In addition, we need donations of door prizes, desserts, and other holiday food items. Contributing money to help cover the numerous costs involved in hosting this event is also a great way to support the event. So grab a colleague, friend or family member and help make this the best Harvest Dinner yet! Volunteers will be needed starting Saturday morning through Monday from the 8:00 am preparation through clean-up Monday night. We welcome food and door prize donations. Please call Mrs. Reva Bailey at 824-3592 or baileyr@uah.edu to volunteer at the event or to make arrangements to drop off donations. Plan to drop off all items prior to noon on Monday, November 12th.
