UAH Headlines is a service of the Office of Marketing and Communications, and is distributed weekly to all faculty and staff.

There will be times when corrections will need to be made to the UAH Headlines newsletter, or times when you, the reader, notice errors and mistakes. We have chosen not to send out corrections via email. However, a web version of each newsletter will be available at http://uah.edu/headlines/. Any and all corrections will happen on that page. This page will reflect the most recent UAH Headlines newsletter, and is updated to the current newsletter each week. Submission Policy
UAH Headlines is a weekly electronic news and information service for UAH faculty and staff. Information or announcements submitted for consideration will be subject to editing.

To submit an item, please send all information to headlines@uah.edu by 5 PM, on Wednesday before the Monday distribution.

To receive consideration, items and events:
- Should have broad, campus-wide appeal.
- Should be open to all faculty and staff and important to the campus community.
- Must be held on the UAH campus.
- Announcements of off-campus events can be published only if there is a strong University connection.
- Under no circumstances will commercial activities be posted.

As a rule, announcements will not be repeated unless they are deemed by the Office of Marketing and Communications to be of significant importance to the campus community as to outweigh other considerations.

Invisible Scar Documentary Screening
The screening for the documentary "The Invisible Scar," begins at 7:30 p.m., in the Charger Union Theater. After over a decade of fighting, many soldiers and their families find themselves dealing with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Free and open to the public.

Bryan Adams Talk
U.S. veteran and Purple Heart recipient Bryan Adams' will talk about his mental health journey, at 6:30 p.m., in the Charger Union Theater. Free and open to the public.

Spring Tutoring Blitz
Come to the Student Success Center's Spring Tutoring Blitz in the CTC Exhibit Hall, from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., to get help preparing for your finals. The first 100 students will receive a free t-shirt! Why just take your finals when you can blitz them.

Classics Week
Society for Ancient Languages lectures by Dr. Andrew Feldherr of Princeton University, presentation "Latin Poetry and Culture," 11 a.m., and 7 p.m., Union Grove Gallery.

UAH Department of Music Event
UAH Wind Ensemble, Joseph Lee, conductor, with guest artist Michael Samis, cello, 7:30 p.m., Roberts Recital Hall. Admission $5 adults/free for students.

Late Night Breakfast
ACE and Dining Services will sponsor the Spring Semester Late Night Breakfast at the UAH Cafe, 10 p.m., to midnight. This event is free with a UAH ID.

Senior Recital by Angelica Reidy, soprano and Robert Henderson, baritone at 7:30 p.m., is the Hogue Sinfonietta with Dorrie Nutt, French Horn, as guest artist.

Second Annual 10 Minute Play Festival
The Charger Theatre Club is hosting the Second Annual 10 Minute Play Festival, 7:30 p.m., to 9 p.m., in the Chan Auditorium. It will feature five short comedic and dramatic plays written by UAH students and a Q&A session with the writers afterwards. Free and open to the public.

» UAH Receives Grant for Colon Cancer Screening
The UAH Faculty/Staff Clinic recently received a grant from the Alabama Department of Health to screen employees for colon cancer. The screening test is FREE to employees. When UAH employees participate in the screening, or bring proof from their personal physician that a colonoscopy has been completed employees get a chance to win a $500 Target gift card. Colon screening kits may be picked-up at the UAH Faculty/Staff Clinic, in Wilson Hall Suite 327. » The Community Garden Annual Plant Sale
The UAH Community Garden's fourth annual Plant Sale will end on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m., to 3 p.m. Plants may be purchased at the UAH Community Garden hoop house at the south end of the campus. Please see the following link for directions to the sale: Google Map Directions to the UAH Community Garden.

» New Country Comedy Presentation
Fair Trade Productions presents New Country, a comedy in two acts by Mark Roberts (Mike & Molly fame). The play will be presented in the Wilson Hall Theatre for eight special preview performances before its official opening Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Dates for the performances are Wednesday, April 29, Saturday, May 2, Wednesday, May 6, and Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by UAH. » OSP Video Available for Viewing
The Office of Sponsored Programs “Tidbit Thursday Video” labled “Non-Disclosure Agreements” is now available. The video may be viewed by clicking on the title or clicking “Tidbit Thursday Video.” and then the title on the OSP website.
