Annual Open Enrollment for medical, dental and vision insurance,  as well as flexible spending accounts (FSA), begins on Monday, October 27 and ends on November 14, 2014, for all benefit eligible employees of UAH.  All elections made during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2015.  Changes outside of Open Enrollment can only be made due to a “life event”.  To learn more about life event changes, click here.

Open Enrollment Key Factors

  • Employees only need to respond if they are making a change in health, dental, vision coverage or enrolling in the FSA plans.  Current elections will continue into the new plan year.
  • Documentation is required to confirm eligibility of dependent(s) not previously enrolled in your insurance plan (Definition of Eligible Dependents and Required Documents).
  • Current Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Account (DCA) participants must re-enroll for the 2015 calendar year.
    • If no action is taken, your FSA and/or DCA participation will end December 31, 2014.
  • Open Enrollment elections will be made online through HR Connection.
