Honors Research Conference
The UAHuntsville Honors Program is sponsoring the 12th Annual University of Alabama System Honors Research Conference on April 19 in the UC Exhibit Hall. The University of Alabama System Research Conference is an annual event put on by the Honors Programs at UAH and UAB, and the Honors College at the University of Alabama. Honors students from all three schools present their Honors research and compete for cash prizes. We will have around 30 students presenting work from different majors and fields. EVERYONE is welcome to sit in on presentations that will last from 9:00-12:30 or hear our keynote speaker, Dr. Udaysankar Nair, will be speaking about the impact of deforestation on regional climate, a research area in which he is an internationally recognized researcher. His talk will take place at 1:15 pm in the UC Exhibit Hall.

Honors Technical Writing Courses for Fall
We finally have a course section for our Fall Honors Technical Writing course. It will be EH/CM 301-05 held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:20-3:40 pm. All Science majors (must be at least a junior) are required to take this course and all Honors students are required to have 3 hours (in addition to the Honors thesis) at the 300/400 level. This class would fulfill both! If you have any questions about new Honors curriculum requirements, please make an advising appointment by email Bethany.Wilson@uah.edu.
