The Honors Program Student Council will be holding our first every Honors Cookout on October 20, 2012 at 3:30 pm. This event will be held directly after the Honors session at the UAH Open House in the Frank Franz Hall courtyard. This is a great opportunity to meet some of next year's potential Honors students and tell them why UAHuntsville and the Honors Program is so great! We'll have plenty of food and games! Alabama Collegiate Honors Council Conference We are looking for student volunteers who would like to attend the Alabama Collegiate Honors Council Conference in Montogomery on February 22-23, 2013. This is a great opportunity to interact with other Honors students in the state and gain some valuable leadership experience within the Honors Program! NEW Spring Courses and Honors Advisement We will be offering 2 new courses this Spring: Honors Intro to Rhetoric (CM 113) and Honors Thermodynamics Colloquium (MAE 495). See the course listing for details. Remember, it's required for first time Freshmen to meet with us before Spring registration. The Honors mentors will be holding a short meeting at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in the Charger Village MPR. This meeting is for Honors mentors only!

Dr. Delugach will be offering a short Honors thesis workshop on October 16 at 5:30 pm in the honors Lounge (MH 336). He will walk you through the Honors thesis process and answer any of those nagging questions you may have! Please let the Honors Office know if you plan to attend. Honors students are getting involved in the Homecoming festivities this year! Students are encouraged to attend the Meet at the Slab event on October 8 at 11:00 am at the UC Slab. A group of Honors students will also be participating in the Homecoming parade on October 12. If you're interested in participating, please send an email to hpsc@uah.edu.
