University Honors Council

The role of the University Honors Council is to advise the Director on matters pertinent to the program and recommend general policy and direction for the Program. Members are chosen for two year terms on the Council, representing either their college or other organization. The Council meets once a month.

Membership on the Council is distributed as follows:

  • Two faculty from the College of Business Administration nominated by the dean.
  • Two faculty from the College of Engineering nominated by the dean.
  • Two faculty from the College of Liberal Arts nominated by the dean.
  • Two faculty from the College of Nursing nominated by the dean.
  • Two faculty from the College of Science nominated by the dean.
  • One faculty member from the Library nominated by the dean.
• One year or ex-officio:
  • The chair of the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee.
  • The President of the Honors Program Student Council (HPSC)
  • One Honors student nominated by the Director of the Honors Program.
