FINANCE AND
RESOURCES
Charge:
The
Finance Committee shall review, assess, and make recommendations concerning the
mission, role, and scope of the university; the objectives and plans of the
major budget units; the information base and planning procedures utilized in
budget preparation; and the annual budget request and annual operating
budget. The Finance Committee may make
recommendations in regard to the items mentioned above, to the President, Vice
Presidents, the Campus Priorities and Resources Advisory Committee, or other
university officers or bodies. The
Committee shall make periodic reports to the Senate and will keep the Senate
abreast of university budgetary and financial matters. The Senate shall be represented on the Campus
Priorities and Resources Advisory Committee by
a) the President of the Faculty Senate; b) the Chair of the Finance
Committee; and c) another member of the Senate Finance Committee who shall be
selected by the Committee.
Composition: Total: (8); Term: 1 year
Selection: One senator from each college in the university, the President of
the Faculty Senate, and a Senator to be selected by the President of the
Faculty Senate, who is on the Employee Benefits Committee.
