INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLGOY COMMITTEE

Charge:

 

A Committee broadly representing the entire Campus in making recommendations concerning the operations of all Instructional Technology on Campus, including Computer and Network Services.  Such recommendations shall relate to all aspects of Instructional Technology and Computer and Network Services functions, including hardware, software, and networking, as well as operational procedures of Instructional Technology and Computer and Network Services within the management and budgetary limitations placed on Instructional Technology and Computer and Network Services staff; and be a multidisciplinary university  committee to oversee educational technologies and distance education at UAH.  Oversight is intended to include the planning, developing, coordinating, implementing (including training), disseminating, publicizing, and evaluating of educational technologies and distance education on the UAH campus.

 

Composition:  22                    Term:         Faculty-2 yrs. staggered

Selection:    One faculty member elected by the Faculty senate from each College and the Library having as much Technology and Distance Learning interest/experience as possible
