Recycling Efforts - 2009

The UAHuntsville community recycled 33.7% of its waste stream in 2009, a significant increase over last year. This means that 79.94 tons (159,880 lbs.) of waste was recycled. This represents a significant portion of our total waste stream; however, while this is good performance on the part of our campus community, there are still many opportunities to improve our recycling efforts. With help from people like you, next year's numbers can be even better!

Recycling Efforts - 2008

With the help of Students, Faculty, and Staff, UAHuntsville recycled 19% of its waste stream in 2008. This means that 60 tons (120,000 lbs.) of waste was recycled.

With the help of Students, Faculty, and Staff, UAHuntsville recycled 24.3% of its waste stream in 2007. This means that 81.5 tons (163,000 lbs.) of waste was recycled.
