Aerospace engineer Mishaal Ashemimry is dedicated to making space accessible and cost-effective for all and has been applying her expertise and education to achieving this. In 2010, frustrated by the opportunities available to her in established companies, she founded MISHAAL Aerospace, which specializes in designing low-cost rockets for satellite companies. Her extensive experience in rocket design and expertise in aerodynamics, wind tunnel testing, predictive simulation and analysis, and rocket stage-separation analysis allowed her to create prototypes and she bravely waded into the field of management, finances and client-relations aspects of MISHAAL Aerospace. Ashemimry will discuss the challenges of finding funding as a small start-up, and how her company is currently attempting to adapt to those challenges by centralizing its operations and reaching out to new funders.
