Sponsored by the UAH Veteran's Network, The Hero Hustle 5K is a chance for Huntsville and surrounding communities to come together on something they love (RUNNING!) and give them an opportunity to learn about the resources available to veterans. The cause we are bringing awareness to is veteran suicide but it's more than bringing awareness. We want a solution. Our slogan, "Remove the Red Flag", means we want to remove the label (or "red flag") given to veterans who are experiencing readjustment difficulties, chronic depression, stress, anger, anxiety, the list goes on. There will be veteran resources set up at the event to help educate and speak on behalf of how their organization is vital to the success of our veterans. Runners and attendees will interact with these resources to get information on how these resources are vital to our veterans success!
