As you know, Attorney General Loretta Lynch has designated October 2-8, 2016 as the inaugural National Community Policing Week.  In recognition of this week, the U.S. Attorney’s Office along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Marshals Service will hold twoCommunity Policing Listening Meetings—“A Community Conversation Addressing Police & Community Relations.”

The purpose of these meetings is to allow community members an opportunity to meet and engage with Department of Justice law enforcement officials, including First Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert O. Posey, FBI Special Agent in Charge Roger C. Stanton and U.S. Marshal Martin Keely on issues regarding public safety and community policing.  These meetings will take place in Birmingham on Monday, October 3, 2016 and Huntsville on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

THESE MEETINGS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
