UAH Campus

Who may fish: University employees, currently enrolled students, alumni and their immediate families only.

Parking: You may park in designated parking spaces only. You may use VBH and Engineering Building parking lots. Parking is prohibited along Sparkman Drive or on the grounds of the campus.

Trash: Please use trash receptacles for all refuse. Do not put fish or bait of any kind in these receptacles.

Cleaning fish: Do not clean fish at the lake. Take fish home to clean.

Bathrooms: Two portable restroom facilities will be available.

Fishing Licenses: Persons over the age of sixteen (16) are required to have a valid State of Alabama fishing license. However, if you use only a cane pole and live in Madison County, you may fish without a license. If you use a rod and reel you must have a license. Residents 65 years of age and over are exempt from buying fishing licenses provided the resident has on his/her person while fishing a driver's license or proof of permanent Alabama residence and age.

Do not return fish to the lake when they are bleeding from being caught. Dead and bleeding fish must be kept and taken home, regardless of size.

No minnows or fish of any type may be used as bait.

Creel Limits:

Bream: State limit is fifty (50) per person.

Bass: State limit is ten (10) per person.

Crappie: State limit is thirty (30) per person, 9” minimum to tip of tail
