Important updates about the Distance Learning Program will be posted here throughout each term, so check back frequently for updates!
- Distance Learning at UAH celebrates the National Distance Learning Week during the week of November 9th through November 13th. This important recognition was formally recognized by the United States Distance Learning Association, and is in its' 3rd year this year. During this week, unique opportunities for faculty, students, and administration will be made available for learning more about distance learning and educational technology implementations in K-12, Higher Education, Corporate, and Military branches. - We are pleased to announce a successful event in the 2009 Second Life College Fair. This recruitment activity was UAH CoE's first venture into the virtual world of SL, with plans for expanding opportunities in the near future. Additional events such as this, as well as teaching and learning possibilities for students and faculty to participate in this exciting new UAH enterprise will be posted as they become available. See the pictures and captions below for some screenshots of the SL world.

- DL @ UAH supports research into the fight against Breast Cancer. During this October, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are providing some links to informational materials to support this cause.

DL Newsletter
Prior to the beginning of each academic term (Spring, Summer, and Fall) at UAH, the Distance Learning Productions Office publishes an electronic newsletter containing information on such items as upcoming classes, changes in technology, DL Faculty & Staff, Academic Calendars, and projected academic schedules for the future terms. These newsletters are distributed via email. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be added, please let us know by requesting to be added here.
