B-Mesmer     The College of Engineering at UAH is very pleased to welcome Dr. Bryan Mesmer as Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (ISEEM), effective August 2014. Dr. Mesmer's background is in design theory, and modeling of decisions and uncertainties. His work has focused on improving the design process, particularly for large-scale complex systems. His research interests are in system design architecture, interactions in systems and design, incorporation of end-user models and simulations in design, and integration of new system and design processes in government and industry practice.

Dr. Mesmer earned a dual B.S. (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, 2007), M.S. (Mechanical Engineering, 2010), and Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering, 2012) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University for the past two years.
