Are you looking for a way to assist your son or daughter with gaining practical work experience in their field of study? Perhaps you are looking for an opportunity to help them solidify their interest in their chosen field. Or perhaps you are looking for a way to assist with the cost of their education. The Cooperative Education Program was designed to help.

It is our goal to assist students with finding employment that will give them practical experience in their chosen field of study, challenge them and pay them competitive wages. An added benefit is that participating students often have more employment opportunities following graduation than their peers without co-op experience. In today’s competitive environment, the program truly gives students an edge.

Students who complete a traditional alternating co-op rotation accumulate a minimum of one year of work experience. Despite what many believe, the co-op program only postpones graduation by an average of one semester. The average salary earned during a co-op semester is $9000.

The co-op experience has been endorsed by many dignitaries including Alabama Senator Richard Shelby. We appreciate your interest in learning more about the program and hope that you will agree with the Senator that "Co-op provides an unparalleled opportunity for students to enhance their academics by combining classroom learning with practical work experience."
