The Cooperative Education Program provides many benefits to employers. Enthusiastic students eager to gain work experience in their field of study add great value to the work place. These students not only satisfy immediate work needs but also provide a qualified and trained candidate pool for full time opportunities upon graduation. Having knowledge of their talents and abilities, employers are well pleased when selecting these students for full time employment.

Benefits of the co-op program have been noted by dignitaries such as Alabama Senator Richard Shelby.

The UAHuntsville Co-op Office provides three ways to view student materials: Interview Day, Job Postings and Resume Bundles.

Employers may post a position to be viewed by students. If you wish to post a position only or have not identified a date to conduct campus interviews, follow the instructions below.

1. Returning users log in to Charger Path. New users must create an account, which will be reviewed by our office. Once approved, you will be issued a username and password. Return to the system and follow the steps below.
2. Click on the Non-OCR tab at the top of the page.
3. Under the Single School Postings tab, click Add New button.
4. Fill out form and click the submit button. Your posting must be reviewed and approved by our office before any further action. Once approved, you will receive an e-mail with further instructions.

Upon request, the Co-op Office will provide materials for all students who meet qualifications provided to our office by an employer. To receive resumes, please e-mail the following information to coop@uah.edu:

• Major(s)
• Minimum GPA
• Citizenship requirements
• Class standing (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students)

Charger Path can facilitate some communication between employers and students, including resume review decisions and scheduling of interviews. When employers speak with students directly, we ask that they e-mail coop@uah.edu or call 256.824.6741 with important information such as job offer details and deadlines.
