Prospective Students
Co-op offers all qualified students, regardless of major, an opportunity to enhance their academic preparation, acquire valuable work experience, mature personally and professionally, and explore career options. Through this academic program, students work in jobs directly related to their major.
Co-ops earn an average of $9,000 per work term. This income enables students to pay for a significant portion of college expenses. Over 95 percent of UAH Co-op students work in Huntsville or surrounding areas. These students avoid relocation expenses and can remain active in campus activities. However, many students elect to pursue positions requiring travel, allowing them to experience new job sites and meet Co-ops from across the country.If you want to join Co-op, follow these steps below:
Applying to Co-op
- Step 1: Submit the Co-op application and resume. Open the application here and enter all required information. Click the "Submit by Email" button to send via your email software.Attach a copy of your resume in Microsoft Word or pdf format to the email prior to sending. - Step 2: Attend orientation or an individual meeting as selected on the application. You will receive additional information regarding Co-op and an overview of the interview process.
- Step 3: Once you have submitted the application, we will send it and a copy of your transcripts to all companies having openings that meet your preferences. If the company selects you as an interview candidate, they will contact our office and we will contact you to coordinate an interview.
