The UAH College of Science offers unique opportunities for undergraduates to study at one of the South's most prestigious institutions for scientific research.
UAH is at the forefront of pioneering research in several areas including
optical sciences, lasers, global climate studies, and solar physics. The implications
of UAH's reputation for undergraduate students is enormous: You have a chance to
work with and learn from some of the most prominent research scientists in your
field.
In the College of Science, you can major in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and statistics, optical science, or physics, or work on the atmospheric and environmental science certificate.
Any of these majors will prepare you for a professional career, or for professional studies in medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, or veterinary school, or for further graduate study in your chosen field. More than 75 percent of our students are admitted into the graduate schools of their choice. Employment prospects for bachelor's graduates are also quite promising.
