Field Research in Monteverde, Costa Rica
Natural Products Drug Discovery Group
The group generally
spends four weeks in Costa Rica, beginning immediately following final exams in
the Spring. Contact Dr. Setzer around January if you are interested in participating.
The costs
include round trip airfare (Huntsville-San Jose, about $700) and hotel
accomodations. Contact Delta

We spend one
night near the airport in Alajuela (Hotel Alajuela), and we spend the rest of
the time at Hotel El Bosque in Monteverde.
Besides
tropical rainforest field research, there is ample opportunity for excursions
to Volcan Arenal, the beach, and lowland rainforest areas. Check the Costa
