Biological Sciences Retreat
Each year the Department of Biological Sciences at UAH hosts a retreat during Fall semester.
Members of the department along with other biologically inclined groups in the area get together to discuss our endeavors and exchange ideas. The Biological Science Retreat has been in action
since 1999. The goal of the retreat is to provide an arena where our students and any other interested person can find out what is happening at UAH and in the Huntsville area. There are
always new things happening in Biological Sciences and Biotech area around here, so the retreat provides a critical forum allowing us to keep informed about new events both at the university
and in local industry. The retreat begins on a Friday afternoon and extends into the Saturday. The retreat includes short talks and a poster session. Graduate and undergraduate students are
especially encouraged to present their research in one of these formats. The retreat provides a valuable opportunity to interact with area colleagues in a comfortable, friendly setting.
