Gender in Management

The Women's Studies Student Organization is proud to co-sponsor a panel presentation with the Women's Economic Development Council and the UAH Society for Human Resource Management.  The topic will be "Gender in Management," and several successful businesswomen of the Huntsville community will speak on both the diffiiculties and the advantages women face in managerial positions.

Panelists include:

• Sharon Morgan, President, Morgan Research, an engineering company
• Wanda McNeil, Attorney
• Alice Arrington, Executive Director of Girls, Inc., of Huntsville
• Ila Porter, Owner and Manager of Ben Porter Real Estate

Panelists will address managerial experiences specific to women, including differences in managerial and communication styles, the risk of burnout, and other gender-specific concerns across a wide range of businesses and professions.

Bring your questions and your lunch!  Beverages and dessert will be provided.
