Molly Pettis Reid

Molly Pettis Reid has lived in Huntsville since 1974, when her family moved from New York. She studied Art and Theatre at the University of North Alabama, and received her B.A. in Sociology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Active in theatre from her school days, she has been an actor, assistant director, director, costume and make-up designer for such companies as University Playhouse, Huntsville Little Theatre (HLT), Twickenham Repertory Company, Lee Deal Productions and Theatre ‘Round the Corner (TRTC). Molly was Assistant to the Artistic Director at TRTC. She currently serves on the Play Reading Committee for Theatre Huntsville. Molly received the 1990-91 HLT Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Sheila in The Boys Next Door. Molly won the 1991-92 Best Show award for directing Beyond Therapy. In 1994 Molly shared the stage with Patsy Hawkins  and Freda Grant in A Piece of My Heart, a play about women in the Viet Nam war. In 1996 Molly wrote and performed BIG FAT THEATRE, a one-woman show that played at both TRTC and 1210 Meridian.
