Each year since 1995, the UAH Women's Studies program has sponsored a school essay contest honoring women's history month.  The purpose of this contest is to increase the awareness of women's roles in history, to build self esteem, to foster recognition and respect for women, and to encourage the development of students' research and writing skills.

Celebration

Winners will read their essays at an Awards Celebration on the UAH campus scheduled for spring (details TBA).
