"Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow?
With people there, lots of care, and love in every row."
UAH students,
faculty, and friends help pick the CASA garden

This summer, the WSSO spent a Saturday morning harvesting over 200 POUNDS of vegetables for the people of CASA (Care Assurance Sytems for the Aging and Homebound). CASA is an organization that assists elderly people in need. The CASA garden was established so that the elderly could have fresh vegetables all summer long. We had a great time becoming one with nature while helping a great organization at the same time. You can see how much fun we had by looking at our scrapbook.
The WSSO will be having other events throughout the 98-99 school year, it is a great organization for persons of any walk of life.
For more information about WSSO, email RaDonna Ridner, or call the Womens Studies program office, 890-6210.
