In April, 1999, the Women's Studies Student Organization (WSSO) sponsored
a Take Back the Night event featuring a speaker and a silent auction benefitting
a rape prevention agency.

for rape prevention.
WSSO officers Sandy Hardiman and RaDonna Ridner present a check for $412 to Kathy Wells (Executive Director, Crisis Services of North Alabama) and Pat Peterson (Director of the Rape Response program).
This event was co-sponsored by WSSO, the UAH Women's Studies program, Psi Chi, SSA, SGA, & the UAH Humanities Center.
