WEDC Foundation Grant Application Guidelines

Purpose: Provide financial and mentoring support to adult women seeking an academic degree or technical training in order to become self-sufficient or to achieve significant advancement in their current employment.

Grants: $500-2500 for tuition, fees, books, dependant care, transportation or related expenses

Criteria:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Madison County resident
• Prefer a household income of $32,000 or less
• Special consideration to those responsible for dependent care
• Prefer candidate to be employed.

Application Deadline: Spring 2001 awards will be drawn from applications already on file.
