Huntsville Woman’s Club Memorial Scholarship

The Huntsville Woman’s Club offers a $1000 scholarship to a UAH student from the College of Liberal Arts or the College of Nursing.  Preference is given to a returning student in need of financial aid, especially a sophomore or junior who might have the scholarship renewed for one or more years.  The scholarship may be applied to either summer or fall tuition, lab fees, and books up to $1000.  Funds will be donated to the Women’s Studies UAH Foundation account and dispersed from that account directly to the bursar or bookstore.

Deadline: All materials must be received by March 1, 2007 to be considered.

Requirements:

• Full-time or part-time students at UAH, enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts or the College of Nursing.
• At least a 2.5 (C+) average at the time of application
• U.S. Citizen
• Completed application form, which includes writing a short essay providing an explanation of educational and career goals, and the reason for needing financial aid.
