
Nancy
J. Finley, Ph.D.
Dr. Finley has been at UAH since 1982. Her areas of specialty
are Sociology of Gender, Marriage and Family, Feminist Theory, and Social
Movements. She is currently teaching Introduction to Sociology (SOC100),
Marriage and Family (SOC106). She also
teaches
Sociology
of Childhood(SOC310), Sociology of Gender (306) and Introduction to Women's
Studies(WS200). WS 200 is a required course for the Women's Studies minor
and also counts toward the General Education Requirement for a 200-level
humanities or social science course for Liberal Arts majors. Dr. Finley is
currently researching social change in the family systems.
She currently serves as the Director of the UAH Women's Studies Program.
