All students of the Department of Foreign
Languages
graduate with a B.A. in Foreign Languages with a
particular
focus language (French, German, Russian or Spanish), and if
appropriate,
a concentration in Foreign Language & International Trade.
This
foreign language major may be combined with the study of a second
foreign
language, international business, international studies, teacher
certification,
or a number of other majors, minors and cognates. Consequently,
all
foreign language majors share a common curriculum
and experience. The elementary and intermediate sequence take
three
semesters, and are augmented by two courses with students from other
languages
(and hence taught in English): FL 204 (International Cinema) and
FL 410 (International Internship: Comparative Languages and
Cultures
in Practice). Our current offerings are offered on a consistent
basis
to aid in schedule planning and streamline degree completion.
