America Reads and Math Counts
UAH has been participating in the Federal America Reads/Math Counts program since 1998. Our goal is to provide tutors and volunteers for kindergarten through third grade children at a local school. This is our eighth year to participate in the America Reads Math Counts Program with Terry Heights Elementary School and West Huntsville Elementary School. The Education Department Chair trains tutors in reading and math before they begin their tutoring assignment. Each year UAH sends 15-20 tutors to these schools.
