VITA
Here at UAH, Dr. Enger holds a joint appointment with the Department of Education and the Institute for Science Education (ISEd). Courses she teaches include science methods for preservice elementary teachers and undergraduate and graduate assessment classes. Dr. Enger is the faculty advisor for secondary science and mathematics candidates. On the ISEd side of her appointment, she is involved with grant-funded projects focused on professional development for inservice teachers in the area of science.
Dr. Enger’s Ph.D. was conferred by The University of Iowa in Science Education with corroborative study areas in biological sciences and statistics. Her M.S. in biological sciences and B.S. in general science with minors in French and mathematics were awarded by Winona State (MN) University. Her science experiences include running and teaching botany and life science laboratories at The University of Iowa, and she has also taught biology, chemistry, or mathematics in the U.S., in Greece, and in the Bahamas. Additionally, Dr. Enger has worked for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in informal science education.
On the personal side, Dr. Enger enjoys books, science, and travel, and she can cook a pretty mean Greek dinner!!
