VITA

Mrs. Pamela Patrick is a Lecturer in the Department of Education. She received a B.A from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS and M.Ed. from Alabama A&M University in Normal, AL. In addition, she completed post-graduate coursework here at UAH. She became National Board Certified in 2001 through the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. In addition to supervising student teachers for the department, Mrs. Patrick mentors UAH education graduates who are employed in education through their first year of teaching.

Mrs. Patrick's prior experience, before UAH, was in the Huntsville City public schools as a classroom teacher. She also taught in Jackson, MS, Atlanta, GA, and Jacksonville, FL. She helped to establish a hands on science program through UAH’s Institute for Science Education where she served as Teacher Trainer for several years. She has appeared in the nationally televised Teacher to Teacher with Mr. Wizard. She’s the author of two elementary level biographies of Alabama women.
